Hi, I'm new to the message boards here. We just booked our 2010 reception at Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling, and now I'm getting nervous about the size of the room. Has anybody had their wedding there? We are expecting about 160 guests, and I'm afraid the dance floor won't be big enough. Any thoughts?

I was worried about the same thing there for my reception... I know someone who had tall bar like tables put in with few chairs with a buffet in the 'men's cigar/ meeting room' across the hall... all with the intentions of keeping everyone on their feet when they were in that room HTH

We went to a wedding there this summer and there were 150 guests about and it was fine! don't worry!

I just went to a wedding there this weekend...I think you should be ok on size.
