Vanderbilt Mansion and pictures

I know people have mentioned Vanderbilt Mansion as a good place for indoor pictures – but does anyone know if you have to be having your affair there or if they charge you? Can anyone recommend any other good indoor places? My photographer suggested the Wyndham Windwatch but they only let people who are either having their wedding there or have blocked rooms there use it.
Thanks.
