Vanderbilt mansion - Oakdale

has anyone had their wedding there or has an upcoming wedding there?
I would appreciate any feed back on who runs the wedding and the facility.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Vanderbilt mansion - Oakdale

I'm getting married there September 21st! I love it!!

I already went to my first tasting and the food is amazing. The caterer -- Lovin' Oven does Flowefield, Land's End and a bunch of other places -- and people on these boards rave about them. The people have been great to work with and so far I've only heard great things from people who have been to events there.

The spot isn't perfect --> The place is small (max 150 for sit-down), the shape of the ballroom (T-shaped) and the limited bathroom facilities (no toilet in the bridal suite, 2 stalls in the ladies room..) are big negatives to some people.

Personally I thought - the place is amazing looking & unique, the caterer is awesome, and compared to other mansion properties the price wasn't that bad --> I feel in love with it...

Re: Vanderbilt mansion - Oakdale

Honestly if it has the Lovin Oven name...it will not be bad...they are very into their image...I was a Land's End bride and it was fantastic...

We are going there for a wedding in October...it will not be sit down though...buffet style?
