Vanderbilt Mansion Tasting

I just went to my tasting at Vanderbilt Mansion (Lovin' Oven Caterers) and it was FABULOUS! The food was delicous and beautifully presented and the serving size is huge - no one will be leaving hungry from my wedding. We live in Manhattan so we dine out a lot at fine restaurants so our standards are high. I just wanted to share with other Vanderbilt brides and prospective brides. A picture speaks a thousands words, so see for yourself.

Thank YOU so much for sharing. We just booked at VM, but we couldn't fly up for the tasting (we are in DC). My parents went and said it was wonderful, but of course, they didn't take pictures. THANK you again!!

PS - Carolyn told me that they may do another tasting in February for anyone who couldn't make it to this one.

Thanks fro the info and pictures. I'm having my wedding there in August so I haven't had my tasting yet. I'm so happy to hear how good the food was. What are you choosing for your menu?

We are planning to go with the Filet Mignon and Seabass - both were good and we felt a beef and fish was a must have. Our third choice was tough considering the remaining choices - going in I thought I wanted the duck 'cuz I felt that we needed a fowl and chicken was boring - but we were bowled over by the pork loin - the presentation was impressive since it was a double cut pork loin and the meat was very moist and tasty and the accompanying wild mushroom risotto was fantastic. So for now we are leaning towards the pork - even tho many people may not order it since it's pork - but that's how impressed we were with it.
