Veal Stew

Great for Crock Pot, IN oven or on top of stove:

Veal (any cut , chop, chunks, steak)

White Potatos (fresh or caned whole white potatos)

Lots of garlic sliced

Onions sliced into rings

Green Peppers sliced

Diced or stewed caned tommatos (you can used the flavored ones too)

Brown veal in olive oil until brown(but not cooked through)

Place all other ingredients in pan with veal and seasonings to taste (fresh or dry herbs are good too)

Lower heat if on stove and cover and simmer until all ingredients are tender and veal is almost falling apart.

If you make it in the oven, place all ingredients in pan on top of browned veal (brown on stove) cover tight w/silver foil and cook on about 375 untill tender

Crock pot: Do everything the same way but I think it would come out even better because it can slow cook all day

Make sure you season everything really well

You can serve alone or over white rice or rizzoto it will be great!

One more thing:

If sauce is a little too thick add some stock to thin it out a bit(dont make it too thin) make sure you reseason

Re: Veal Stew

I have no clue I've never used a crock pot but I cooked it on the stove for about 2-2 1/2 hours I would think you cook it in the crock pot as long as you would regular stew
