So all of my BMs have been really good about EVERYTHING...until we actually went to look at dresses.......'I HATE the colors' 'i hate the dress' 'I cant afford it' ok...so I am going to go out on a limb and state it When you get married, you can pick the color, you can pick the dress-BUT until then SHUT UP!!!!!!
There-I am done...The only thing I asked each of them to do it buy the dress-I would pay for everything else...hair, m/u, shoes......etc. Why when I asked them all did they say ok even after I explained the cost involved?

I'm sorry that they're being so difficult. Honestly, you are being more than generous by paying for their hair, makeup and accessories, so I don't really understand what their problem is. They knew from the beginning that the dress would be their responsibility, so for them to b!tch about it now is pretty obnoxious. Would you consider narrowing it down to 2 or 3 dresses in the color you want and then see what they think? If they still give you sh!t, I say fck em. Of course you want your friends to be happy, but you can only be so accommodating, and ultimately it's YOUR wedding - YOUR decision. Good luck!

Hello! i had the same problem when picking out BM dresses!!!!!! I only have 2 BM and 1 MOH-3 in total and they are my sisters!!! i purposely only asked them and no friends b/c i figured it would make my life easier and they would be agreeable and not give me a hard time!!!! nope!! i was wrong!!!

Sometimes it's just easier to say this is the dress I like and that's the one you guys are getting. In my situation I couldn't do that because I have various sizes in my bridal party all differnet types of bodies and I'm still looking but only taking my sisters, which is still making for a difficult decision. It stinks!!

I gave my girls 2 dresses to pick from and that was it. But I have to agree you are being super nice paying for so much for them, I don't understand why they are being so difficult. I hope everything works out!

It stinks, but sometimes you have to put your foot down and just make the decision yourself. I started this planning thinking I was going to be very open to BM suggestions, but eventually I would say something like 'I think I'm going to do calla lily bouquets' and a few of the girls would say 'Eh, I don't know how I feel about that,' so I'm finally at the point of telling them that I'm not really asking opinions, I'm just going to pick things and they're going to have to wear or carry them. You will never be able to please everyone.

I gave them a bunch of options! I said I wanted Sage or Celadon......I tried to be accomodating so Im not going to be anymore! If they dont want to wear it then they dont have to be a part of it!

GIRL JUST DO WHAT U WANT!!!!!!! When theri turn comes they can pick what they want to wear.. im pretty fortunate, my girls are willing to wear ANYTHING!!

And you just said it! This is exactly true! It is your day. Choose the BM dress that you want! You will not please everyone, and if they have that much of a problem with it, they can kindly leave the BP. They knew the expense when they said yes and you are SO nice for paying the other expenses! Try not to stress about it! Good luck!

I swear this is why I didnt want any bridesmaids. I am going to have my sister and that's it. I showed her the bridesmaids dress and I even gave her two options so long as it was a cranberry color.
She picked on out and loved it! YAY!!! end of story!

Best part...I have been VERY flexible! I am not a 'color scheme for season' king of person...if you want black during the summer.....hey! But the one wants charcoal and silver!!!!!! and really...for whatever reason I am not loving it....grrrrr

I thought this would be my biggest problem so I picked the designe, length and color and told them all, no boobies, pick a fabric that you all like and then I don't care which dress it is. Then I dropped of a book of the designer's dresses to each of the three of them and said we are going shopping this date.
Well, it's tomorrow. They have 365 choices to pick from so I think it will go okay but people never cease to amaze me.
