DH and I are considering a trip to vegas in a few months cus we are looking to relax with warm weather and go see red rock canyon and do some nature stuff. We both have never been out west or to vegas so we figure get both done in one trip. We dont gamble a lot- just a little, and we dont go to clubs. WHat are some must sees in vegas? is it worth it for us to go? We've always wanted to see it out there!

The Hoover Dam is right there, but if you mean the strip there are so many hotels that are a must see: Bellagio Wynn Venetian Treasure Island (outside for the pirate show) Stratosphere NY NY Downtown Vegas is a MUST!

Well Im wondering if we did hoover dam, red rock canyon, and maybe a couple other out of vegas stuff and then also did vegas stuff if its worth it. Like would we have enough to do without clubbing and gambleing for 6 nights? My parents said you can just spend a lot of time seeing all the hotels. But what else is ther besides that? Are the roller coasters super expensive to go on?

Re: vegas
Food is not expensive..you can do buffets or pick from any of the 600 restaurants in each hotel.
there is tons to do! I've been 7 times and don't really gamble that much.
All the hotels have something to see, it's like a totally different world!

Re: vegas
There are lots of free things to do in addition to $$ things....it's really a range. FH and I went for 4 days and all the gambling we did was playing video poker for 30 min until we got bored!

OMG! I dont gamble and I have gone there 4 times! There is something to see in almost every hotel... -there is the stratoshphere that has a nice restaurant ($$$ but its the ambiance). They also have rides there- not too expensive
Theres an indoor amusement park at Circus Circus that my friends and I had a blast at
Theres shows and in general tons of stuff to do.

Re: vegas
Hey there is plenty to do! I used to live there and did many of the non-strip things!
-Love Red Rock -Lake Las Vegas -Mt charleston for hiking (hour away) -You can even take a day trip to Zion National Park (2-3 hrs each way) -hoover dam
There are is so much to do but u may need a rental car for the things I listed above. Eating can be alittle pricey but u can look around for cheaper places or most hotels have food courts! The roller coaster at NY NY is like $10 pp.
Hope that helps...fm me for more details!!!

Re: vegas
you should definetly go to see the sky walk. Its 4000 feet high jetting out over the canon. We went last year when it first opened and it was so amazing. the ride was a bit long but it was beautiful there. And of course Hoover damn.
