The Bellagio is really nice, although i've never stayed there but here the rooms are really nice. Its a great central location on the strip as well. I've never seen the Palazzo. The Hotel at Mandalay Bay is also supposed to be really nice. Every room is a suite. However Mandalay Bay is at the end of the strip and personally i prefer to stay in the middle. The Venitian is one of my favorites. I also really like Caesar's Palace and NY NY. Good luck!

We stayed at Bellagio a few yrs ago, its is a true 5 star hotel, the rooms and grounds are amazing. you will not be disappointed at all, and its in a great location. walk out the door, you are in the middle of the strip!!! love that place!! im actually surprising DH with a trip to bellagio in may for his b-day!

I agree. The Bellagio is beautiful & in the middle of everything. I didn't stay there, we stayed across the street at Planet Holleywood. The Palazzo was really nice and connected to the Venitian which I loved- but I don't know if it had it's own casino?
We spent time in Mandalay Bay and it was huge and had a lot going on. A few clubs and live music everywhere. I hear the pool is great too. I think it's more of a party place than the other 2. It was all the way at one end of the strip, kind of across from the MGM Grand. It just depends what you're looking for. You won't go wrong either way. But right now you might want to take advantage of Bellagio or Palazzo since they are usually a lot more expensive.

Bellagio is pretty and nice, but Mandalay for me has a sexier vibe, and it much more fun. I also just love their sitting areas and the way it is laid out. The bar at the top of the hotel is wonderful for the view and the best drink I have ever had.
To me Bellagio kind of feels like a cruise ship. I also thought the buffet was really mediocre.

Re: Vegas

bellagio is really nice and luxurious, but kind of more of an older feel - great location (central on the strip)

the wynn is also very luxurious but more modern/young/trendy... unfortunately it is not in as good of a location (off to one end of the strip)

i think the 2 are comparable in price

other nice hotels are the paris (across from the bellagio) and the venetian (between the paris and the wynn).

i'd recommend you choose one of those, although i've been to vegas multiple times and stayed at none of the above! (ive stayed at the flamingo hilton with my family when i was a kid - wouldnt recommend for a honeymoon, and i've stayed at planet hollywood which i liked a lot - across from the bellagio - but isnt as luxurious as the others)

check out the wynn-it has like 20 restaurants, is one of the newest hotels-i dont think its that expensive either

i have only stayed at mandalay out of those 3 and i loved it. the rooms were nice and spacious but like mentioned above it is at the end of the strip and its quite a walk through the hotel to get to where the transportation is.

they do have a bar on the roof area though that has an amazing view down the strip

I prefer Mandalay Bay because they have a lazy river.

I stayed at the Bellagio the night I got engaged. It was AMAZING. I would say try there or the Palazzo. Mandalay Bay hands down has the best spa services but if you want to be in the middle of the strip I would say go with the Bellagio or Palazzo. Mandalay Bay is at the very South end of the strip. If you were renting a car, then it wouldn't be too big of a deal.

I would highly recommend the Bellagio, it is a fabulous hotel, and the casino is the best on the strip. You will have to go to different casino's for different things, but the Bellagio is the best overall. Go to:
Bellagio: best casino (upscale, but very entertaining), great restaurants, more relaxed nightlife
Venetian: for the scenery
Ceasars: for the shopping
Hard Rock: for Nightife and the celebrity spotting

Excursions that are worth it:
Red Rock: for hiking, picture ops
The Dam: for, well, the dam

I have been to vegas a lot because my sis lives out there, FM me if you have questions.
