VEGAS!

My friend's dad got us his timeshare in Vegas for Aug 18-25 so I'm going to VEGAS!!!
Anyway, my friends and I are planning on doing the pool during the day, cooking for breakfast and lunch and some dinners, and going to the bars at night... doing a couple of shows too... but we are trying to stick to a budget of 1,000. That obviously cancels out gambling haha!
Anyway, what advice do you girls who have Vegas have for me? We are staying at The Hilton on the Strip.
I'm looking for good shows, restaurants, bars, and clubs, maybe a spa too thats not too expensive....
TIA

Re: VEGAS!

Definitely watch at least one of the Cirque du Soleil shows. The best to watch are 'O' and LOVE~~

Re: VEGAS!

We saw Ka! in December and loved it.

For restaurants, we loved Mon Ami Gabi at Paris and Tao at the Venetian.

I really want to see Ka because FH designed the stage for that (he's an engineer) but the other girls want to see LOVE so I'll probably end up seeing that one...

Re: VEGAS!

clubs:

Thursday-Tryst

Friday-Pure and in the daytime you can do palms pool party

Saturday-Tao(turns into a club after 11pm)

Sunday-Bank-but pregame bc drinks are $20 each lol

My advice is don't be afraid to go up to the door and ask to get in and what you do is find out who the promoter is for that particular club and at the door say you are on that persons list lol works many times, we got in to a lot of clubs for free and drinks for free. Also you dont have to gamble but play slots for a little bit bc when you gamble you get free drinks lol. So pregame while walking around the casino and play slots and you'll get free drinks while you do so haha.

Re: VEGAS!

FH and I go to Vegas and here is list of out of the ordinary places, that if you are on a budget you may want to check out:

At the RIO:

Our favorite restaurant is this fabulous Italian place called Antonio's. Not going to lie...it is pricey, but the food and service there is excellent.

At the Sahara:

Although I don't really care for this hotel too much....they have a great Mexican restaurant called Paco's Bar & Grill. They have awesome drink specials and their food is also good.

Stratosphere:

They have the Top of the World, which is a revolving restaurant. The restaurant is very expensive and to be honest, we spent about half the amount at Antonio's and Antonio's blew them out of the water. I mean the view is to die for, so my suggestion is maybe taking a trip up to the bar/lounge they have in the tower.

Also at the Stratosphere, if you just want to get a nice juicy burger, fries and malt shakes (sort of like Johnny Rockets) I totally recommend Roxy's Diner. It is a 50's style restaurant, where your servers sing and dance oldies but goodies.

Palace Station:

It is off the strip, but if you like New Orleans type of food like gumbo, they have this very small stand that can hold up to about 10 people sitting on stools. They cook right in front of you. It is very popular, so you may have to wait on line to sit, but it is totally worth it.

Another favorite of ours is Tony Romas. It is a stand alone restaurant not too far away from the Stratosphere.
