Thank you! Everyone prefers to stay on the strip though I know it's REALLY close to the strip, but whatever. Thank you though!!!

The only hotel I've stayed at on your list was Luxor. A bit dark, and not my favorite that I've been to but fine none the less. Have you looked into Bally's? That was actually very reasonable and it had probably the biggest room I've stayed in in Vegas, and the location is great - it is connected to Paris also, so you almost feel like you are staying there.
ETA: I've also stayed at Harrah's, which was centrally located and reasonably priced as well. I have no complaints about any place I've stayed at in Vegas and I've stayed at Bally's, Excalibur, Harrah's, Luxor, Paris, Tropicana (which if it still there had awesome pools even it was a bit older than the other hotels). HTH!

my company is affliated with Harrahs and many parties stay at the Rio which is off property. the Palms is close and they have a free shuttle to the strip. you'll have a great time no matter what!

I stayed at the Stratosphere which was so cheap. It was all the way at the end of the strip though, so thats probably why. maybe a bit inconvenient? but still on the strip and got a great revolving restaruant at the top with nice views.

Mandalay Bay Luxor New York New York MGM The Signature (all suites, new, at MGM) Planet Hollywood (formerly Aladdin) Caesars Mirage TI (Treasure Island)
I've been to Vegas about 4 times and love it, but we're trying to stay at hotels that are reasonable in cost - we've never stayed at any of these, so I'm having trouble choosing. We've been inside all of these hotels, just never stayed there or used the pool...
First of all.. sign up with the properties for the special deals via email. You can get some fantastic rates for Sept. Ive stayed at MB for as low as $89 bucks for that time.
I have stayed at MB, MGM, PH, Mirage and TI. I would say that MB would be great for the girls. The beach is awesome and great for hanging during the day. There is a tram that will take you over to Luxor and Excalibur. Mirage is very pretty and on the North side of the strip. Ive stayed at PH several times. Its getting a very retro feel with LOTS AND LOTS of shopping. Good choice as it is mid strip.
Geez.. basically.. I would stay at any of them except MGM. I thought the rooms were blah and the place is way too big.. but they do have a great pool if you want that. I would even suggest perhaps the guys stay on one end and the girls on the other so you dont run into each other LOL I guess I would say the price would be deciding factor.
I live in Vegas.. if there is any other info you need.. feel free to ask.

Wow, thank you!!!!
I was really not feeling staying towards the end of the strip - I've stayed at TheHOTEL at Mandalay Bay and L.O.V.E.D. it, but since that's too expensive, we'd have to stay at the regular Mandalay Bay... I don't know - for some reason I'd rather be in the middle part of the strip.
So we have tentatively decided on MGM for the guys (FH said he really doesn't care, lol) and Mirage for the girls because I was told the pool is awesome (second to Mandalay Bay), but it's more central. Also, this way the guys and ladies are not too close to each other.
Does that sound good for the girls? (Mirage)? I think the rooms might be small, but I hope not!

My favs based on rooms are Paris, MGM and NY NY. But yes the mirage has an amazing pool! But so does MGM..... and I believe the MGM has a seperate pool area that has no kids. BEst prices I'm sure would be at MGM also.
