my friend is going to vegas for her bday. i cant go, but she is going with another gf. i want to get her tickets to something while there. but since she is with a friend, i need to buy 2 tickets (which makes the selection limited because of budget)
so which would you prefer:
1. Tickets to DAO (Chinese acrobot show that blends Eastern acrobatics, dance and martial arts) ....kind of like a cheaper version of cirque...its at the Riviera casino
2. Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis @ planet hollywood
3. Open Top Sightseeing's Hop On/Hop Off Vegas Bus Tour -- 2 day, all-day admission to tour bus that goes all over the strip and to the Las Vegas sign. guests can get on and off as often as they like
or none of the above??

What if you got her a gift certificate to the hotel's restaurant or something like that?

can you talk to her friend who's going with her and see if she'll pay for her own ticket?
i don't think the all day bus tour is good only because they might already have plans and wouldn't want to 'waste' the day on a tour bus.

i've asked what plans they have. as of now, nothing. they are planning on getting show tickets at some point. but havent yet
there are there for a week.

Yeah, sorry, not a fan. I'd suggest a gift certificate to a restaurant at her hotel or maybe the spa? Or we went to see Blue Man Group on my bach. party and it was awesome!!
ETA: The Blue Man Group is in a fairly small theater so even if you don't purchase the most expensive tickets, you're gonna get a good seat regardless.

I like the idea of a GC to a nice restaurant there are so many nice places to eat in Vegas

I've been to Vegas 5x and never did any of those things so those are not appealing to me. Tickets to one of the Cirque du Soleil shows are awesome...specificall O, Mystere, or LOVE. Or GC to dinner at Tao would be cool, they could club there afterwards.

A lot of restaurants have gift certs you can actually just print offline. Or call and see if you can do it with the restaurant itself if it's small. You could always get an AMEX gc and give it to her with a cute note or something.

when i went to my bach party a friend of mine couldn't make it.. she had called the hotel and purchased me a gift card for anywhere in the casino [any restaurant.. store.. etc.] .. we stayed @ Mandalay Bay.. i thought it was pretty awesome =]

I'm not a HUGE fan of the 2 day thing. How long are they going for? Sorry if you mentioned that already. I mean a tour would be great but it will kill 2 days. A show would be better. My sister just went and saw Wayne Brady (ok she went like a year ago, maybe a little less) and said it was HYSTERICAL!!! If he's still there, maybe look into that. OR you can always send up room service, like breakfast in bed one morning.

yup ITA not sure why u need to pay for the friend. call the friend and tell her u want to do X for the bday girl and what she thinks of that and will she be able to afford that if she needs to go along with that X activity
