Anyone have a veggie garden? Me and FI planted ours last night. A small one this year, just a plum tomato plant, a grape tomato plant, string beans and cucumbers. Last year we went crazy and planted like 8 tomato plants and a pumpkin plant that, no joke, the vine was at least 20 ft. long! The land lords were not happy about that so we couldnt do it this year, but it was cool having our own home grown jack o lantern last year.

I love veggie gardens!! We grow tomatoes, the beef steak ones and the cherry ones, peppers, cucumbers and eggplant.

Re: Vegetable Gardens
We planted ours on Monday. We kept our basics: tomatoes, peppers (mostly the hot kind), lettuce and cucumbers, and now we've added: broccoli, eggplant, and basil.
And we planted a few strawberry plants also.

Re: Vegetable Gardens
I want to grow vegetables, but my FH won't eat any Long Island grown veggies...says that they are toxic! He hates the water here!

For me - nothing is better than a tomato fresh from the garden! For some reason they taste better to me! I wish we could have a vegetable garden - we're lucky to have our little patch of grass in Queens.

Re: Vegetable Gardens
I have used the same plot at our apt. for two years so this year I just planted herbs and am going to do a couple of pots of tomatoes and peppers. They didn't do so well last year. I love home grown veggies, I really do.
