Re: Veil

It really depends on what your dress looks like and what length you need. I went to macys to get my dress and they brought out veils after I told them what length I wanted. They told me since the back of my dress has work on it that you dont' want anything relaly on the veil b/c it will take away from teh back of the dress. If you bought your dress at a store I would go back there and get some help from them--I mean don't let them bully you into anything but you could get alot of ideas.

Re: Veil

Make sure the color matches your dress. Ie some dresses are pure white, others are diamond white or ivory. The veil should match.

Re: Veil

I completely relied on the girl at the bridal salon for this...

I had no idea what would look good and I really trusted my girl...(she was not one of those people who says everything looks great which is a total turnoff IMO)....

So I guess I am not much help!

Re: Veil

i just looked and saw what i liked but when i went and ordered my veil.....I explained what i wanted (cathedral, blusher and to wear my fingertip all night and i wanted a soft not too poofy look and let Denise tell me her thoughts
i am sure it will come out great
she works with brides all of the time!

also look at your dress...if it has a lot of work on it then you might want to go with a plain veil

Re: Veil

Depends on the style of your dress and what you feel you like better...I decided to go with a veil that has similiar lace trimming as my dress a little longer than a finger tip veil...it would have looke dunny with my dress if I went with a shorter length...I will not be wearing a tiara or crown with it...just the veil itself

Re: Veil

Did you try any on withyour dress? that wheare I go tthe idea of what I wanted fro mine.

Also, what do you like when you look through magazines? I likeed long & flat & my dress had work on it so I got a cathedaral, 1 tier, mantilla cut veilw ith no blusher, no trim or embellishment. It had a fine embroidered edge which basically just finshed thed edge, without empahsizing it.
