I am going to be using my mom's veil on my wedding day, which is very important to me... that said... her veil is on a 'juliet cap' which I am so not wearing... so i'm plannign on having my aunt take it off of the cap and put it on combs...
my thing though, is that its a cathedral length veil, with a blusher... I am fine for the church, but don't think i want to be in a cathedral veil the whole time, so I'm thinking I can use the blusher as the veil after the ceremony.
Now, how would I go about doing this without destroying my up-do????

Re: veil advice
you could have your aunt make the cathedral part detachable - like with snaps or something so that the comb doesnt have to come out.

I was gonna suggest velcro as well. Reliable and less of a chance of messing up your hair. Good luck!

Re: veil advice
You can actually have the veil bustled for the reception. I haven't decided whether to take mine off or bustle it yet.

Re: veil advice
If you can't velcro them, your hair stylist should be able to show you and or your MOH how to remove it without messing up your hair.

Re: veil advice
I too am wearing my mom's juliet cap veil... I am taking the ENTIRE thing off for the reception. My stylist already showed myself and my MOH how to remove the pins to get the veil off without messing up my hair... my stylist is just anchoring the veil on the sides which makes it easier to remove.. if all else fails, velcro sounds like the next best option.. HTH!
