ok so i'm up to the part where i choose my veil and headpiece....
They showed me some i liked at kleinfelds.... the headpiece i like best was thomas knoell destiny... which they quoted ~550 dollars... is this a good price?
the veil that i liked was from Homa designs (i think) they did not really have much of a selection on veils. But this one veil was absolutely gorgeous, it had lace edging and lots of crystals and matched my dress so well... but the price was outrageous, i am embarrassed even to repeat it
does anyone have any experience with homa veils? thanx !!!

Re: Veil and tiara questions
No, sorry. I'm a tri-county veil bride. They had a wonderful selection of both headpieces and veils.

Re: Veil and tiara questions
Most girls on LIW paid less than $100 for their veils, if not even less by going to tri-county or a wedding store.
ETA: I bought mine at David's Bridal on sale, so it was under $90 and is made w/swarvoski crystals.

I got mine at Barrons in the flea market - I am very happy with it, they did exactly what i wanted.

Re: Veil and tiara questions
Each bride is different. For me, $500 is a lot to spend on a headpiece or veil but other brides are willing to spend that much, especially for a headpiece that they love. You can always look around at different places to get a better idea about prices and then make your decision. Make sure you ask how long it will take the for headpiece/veil to come in so you know how much time you have to look around. Have fun and good luck!

I suggest you go to thomas knoell's salon in manhasset if you're going to get one of his headpieces! He is so amazingly talented and a pleasure to work with!
As for the veil, I would look somewhere else.

Check the wedding salon of manhasset. I got my veil from there when I ordered my dress. If you love it, and you can afford it and you cant find anything else you love as much, get it.

Re: Veil and tiara questions
I borrowed both of mine from a friend. I actually had them before my gown. Wish I could help.
