Hi Ladies, I am going to Barons this weekend to pick out a veil. Do I need to bring anything? I never got a swatch of my dress. I have a picture of it though. What did you do?

The tulle comes in about 8 different shades of white and ivory. Might be better to get a swatch of your dress.

They will basically not be able to help you unless you have a swatch. They are adamant about that. HTH!

You will get a swatch of your dress, when the dress comes in. I would wait until you have the swatch. The way it looks in a pic can be different in person.

I'm so glad i asked this question and had you ladies help me out! My dress is in but my first fitting is not until March 19th so my salon won't let me get a swatch of the dress until then. I guess I will have to wait to go to Barons. Thanks ladies

A word of advice. Try to have the man help you. The lady is known to be nasty to alot of people. Good Luck.

I went there without a swatch of my dress and it was fine. I know I have an ivory dress. The lady there has a sample board of veil colors that she can show you. If you do go, bring a camera. I like to have someone take a picture of the back for me. The mirrors just don't do it for me! She has these tiny little hand held mirrors.

See, my dress is white and they took a piece of my swatch to match the veil. It turns out that they are making me a diamond white veil and my dress is white satin. But that is what matched best.

I went to Barrons last weekend!! He told me to bring a swatch and pictures of my dress (far away to show silhouette and close up to see detail). I would order it sooner than later because my veil will not be ready until 5/8 (my bday :) and your wedding date) but i also let him know that i wasnt in a rush to have it. HTH

YES!!! great advice. I only bought headpiece from barrons. The guy was nice but OMG i almost walked away bc of the woman, she was obviously talking nasty about me in russian. She came over to ask how i will have my hair, and then started talking about using ALOT of hairspray to hold the top, which made no sense and she obviously didnt understand how top of my hair would be. So all i said was oh no it wont be like that but she kept insisting i do a big pouf in front of my hair to try on the headpiece when instead i pulled it back and did it how it would be, right in front of me she turns to the guy starts talking in russian all angry, giving me dirty looks as she is talking and then just walks away.

5/9 is my bday So are you ladies telling me that 6 weeks would not be enough time for them to make me a veil? My first fitting is not until March 19th and they will not give me a swatch of the dress before then. I really dont want to make my fitting any earlier because I am hoping to drop some pounds before the first fitting
