Veil Help!

How many of you ladies are putting your veil on the top of your head and how many of your are putting it in back up your head? I have a cathedral veil and I'm not sure what to do. I also don't know wether or not to wear a blusher. Please give your opinions and post some pictures of what you are doing or have done.

it really depends on your hairstyle and how it will fit in with it. I am wearing an updo (in my albums). I tried my veil all the way up top and it looked ridiculous and at bottom I hated it as well...so...in the middle worked best for me..that way I can take it out without messing the hair...lol

As for the blusher...I originally thought I didnt want it but now I do...for 2 reasons...
1-I like the whole traditional look and the idea of my dad unveiling me to fh at the altar...
2-I am nervous about the walk down the aisle...never been one to like being the center of attention so the idea of 'hiding' behind the blusher gives me a bluffer...

I had mine over the top of my head. I have a bunch of pics in my 'Random Proofs' album. I wanted the look of the veil falling over top my hair (and I got it and it).

eta, sorry, didn't see your q about blushers. I loved having a blusher. I loved that I felt veiled and that my dad had to lift it. Gave a big of mystery a bit, that I liked. It also looked really nice when it was back and added some oomph to my actual veil during the ceremony and for our pictures.

I had 2 veils a circle veil (the clip was in the center of it and a cathedral. We put the circle veil under my headpeice and the cathedral under my hair that was pulled up. I liked havin the blusher, I felt that since I am my fathers only child/daughter it was a special thing for him to lift it and 'give me away' but its a personal preference

My veil comes with the blusher attached. I don't like how poofy it looks on the top of my head, so I'm gonna try to have it sorda in the back. And then I'll just bring the blusher foward for the ceremony.

Not sure how I'm doing that since I want my hair down. Maybe I'll do a partial, that way there's something for the veil to hook onto It's pretty

I have an updo. My seamstress is going to hake the veil and blusher on two seperate combs.

JJC I agree! I'm not one for the center of attn so I'm using a blusher for the same reasons that and I like the tradition
