Any veil experts out there? Im not sure how to go about this. My hair will be up bc the back of the dress is all lace down to my mid-lower back, and then it also has the bow detail at the bottom. There's a pic of the bottom when you view my wedding profile. Anyway... how long should the veil be, etc? Im thinking something very delicate and sheer. I really dont want it competing with the back of the dress. Also, is it better for it to go on the top of my head or more towards the bottom. I have a hair album with loose updo's, which is prob what I'll be doing with it.
When I was trying on basic sweet heart strapless dresses it was a lot easier to find veils. I looked at few when I said yes to the dress but didn't like any they had. Is it hard trying to pick a veil without the dress present? I know some ppl go to Tri-County. Im just wondering what to do!

I have a feeling this isn't a post that many are gonna be able to help with... Anyway, I tried on this veil and liked the subtleness of it, it wont compete with the back of my dress. The length on this one will not work with the bow detail on the back of my dress though....
If you can get the veil to be elbow length I think that would be good. It is easier to find a veil while wearing the dress to see how it matches.

I'm sort of going through the same thing now. The back of my dress has some detail that I don't want the veil to obstruct. I just ordered a veil from Barrons in Tri-County - it was a little shorter than I wanted - ended right at the same place as the bow on my dress, so they are going to make it a little bit longer - they will customize a veil to make it however you want (they are also adding scattered crystals on mine).

I personally would go with a cathedral veil with that dress. A fingertip or waltz would definitely compete with the bow. You might be ok with an elbow veil, but it's hard to tell if it would end up hitting in the right place. Also, definitely something sheer without any lace details, but maybe some delicate crystals or something. As long as you can see through it easily.
