Re: Veil in front of face walking down aisle??
mine is a mantilla with very detailed lace and beading around the edges - Unless I wear it 'cage' style, I can't wear it in front of my face - and that is ok - I am not super traditional.

I did... I loved the feeling of walking down the aisle being the bride and having my father lift it off my face!
For those who arent' consider this...I've walked down the aisle in countless weddings as a bridesmaid, MOH, etc. It was so surreal when it was actually my turn. Just before we walked down the aisle, I pulled it down over my face and just thought, Oh my goodness, this is REALLY happening! I'm the bride! It was one of the most special moments of my life!
ETA: Plus, I have a really cool picture of my dad holding up my veil - it's just the back of me and you can see his face through it. It's one of my favorites!

I wore it over my face, and felt like I couldn't see anything! This made me laugh inside, and I think it kept me from bawling my eyes out!
