I can't decide what length veil I want. Originally I was thinking fingertip, but now I'm thinking maybe chapel. I think cathedral is gorgeos - but too annoying for me to deal with...I tried on veils and couldn't wait to get them off!
I'm going simple - a single layer, thin edging, on a comb - probably sitting low on the back of my head, no blusher.
My dress is pretty simple too...strapless, a-line, some stuff going on in the back, but nothing that the veil will really interfere with too much.
Opinions? Pictures of different styles? Would love to see pictures from front and back to help me get an idea.
Also, did you get your veil at the bridal salon with your gown, or somewhere else?

Mine was fingertip and I loved it. But you have to get what makes you happy. Some girls get cathedral for the ceremony and then something shorter for the reception, that's an option!!
ETS: I got mine at Barron's in the Tri-County Flea Market. They can make you whatever you want there, highly recommended!!
I got a fingertip and loved it! not too short and not so long that anyone would step on it.

Mine was chapel and it was perfect! I wanted the effect of cathedral but without the annoyance. I aslo had a fingertip and blusher. When the chapel got annoying at the reception I kept the fingertip. It was perfect. I ordered it from gown find.

i too am getting a single layer, no blusher. very simple - a thin satin edging with some scattered pearls and rhinestones. it's fingertip and perfect for me

I ordered a beuatiful finger tip veil...it looked best with my gown. I LOVE a cathedral though.

I actually wanted elbow length - not even fingertip, but when I went to Barrons to order it I brought pics of my dress and they showed me where it would fall vs a fingertip length, so I went with the longer veil. A chapel or cathedral would take away from the back of my dress.

I had a cathedral. My wedding was in January, so it did not look too heavy for the season. Also I had it on removable clips, and then just wore the fingertip& blusher for the reception. (that lasted through the first dance & then that was gone too......)

I love fingertip length veils - for me anything shorter than that is too choppy and anything longer than that gets in the way....But that's just me.

I think they all are very nice..however, I opted for Cathedral. It's a 2 tier and will come off for the reception. I think Chapel is very nice!! I got my veil on Ebay (believe it or not) and it wasn't expensive at all and was exactly what I was looking for (Pictures in community album).
