Veil material question.....

.....is it me I can't figure out the difference. I am looking online and on ebay and I can not figure out why it is sooooo much cheaper than at the salons. My mother keeps saying it is because the material is not good.

On ebay I see veils made of 100% tulle or bridal illusion tulle......are these the same thing??? I want tulle but I do not want it to be that really stiff scratchy kind.....so what should I be looking for?
