Veil or No Veil?!?!

Ok ladies so I need your opinion...I've already bought my dress and am now considering whether or not to get a veil. I am sooooo NOT a fan of the veil for myself. I just don't like the way it looks on me. I'm planning on wearing the cute little princess tierra but just don't want a veil. My mom really wants me to just for the fact that my dad can lift it when he gives me away but i don't know...what are your opinions about it?? Thanks so much!!

If you dont like it, you dont have to do it. I would still try some on with the tiara and see if its something your really not too hot about. If your iffy on it you might want to appease your dad. If not dont do it.

im not a huge fan of the veil...its like having mosquito netting on....but i think im just gonna get one and only wear it for the ceremony..for a 1/2 hr...maybe some pictures, but the rest of the time the veil is off and im in flip flops!

If you don't want to do it then I wouldn't. You can just do the tiara and that's fine.

I only like veils with embroidery/crystals...I don't like plain ones. I got mine already because I thought it was really pretty and knew that it would be hard for me to find something I liked, so should just get it over with. If you don't want to wear it at all, then don't--its your day do what makes you happy.

I got mines already its embroided and perfect 4 my dress and me!! However if veils are not u , u shouldn't get one. THis day is to reflect you and your personal style and u should feel comfortable in wat u r wearing !

Its really your decision, originally i didn't want one and when i did buy one I went with one tier embrodered with crystals and to the fingertips. It just hugn behind me all day. So you see it and think BRIDE but it didn't bug me AT ALL!

One of the o7 brided..Jess-AugCF07Bride (think thats her name lol. She's just our Jess!) didn't wear a veil and she looked AMAZING! She just wore pearl haircomb. Its all a matter of preference.If it wilL REALLY make your dad happy, I would say just buy the veil and wear it for the ceremony then take it off. Give hima little thrill.

I was going to do that but felt clasutrophobic with the tulle over my face so I couldn't-But I did wear the veil for ym dad and ended up LOVING it.

It's personal preference, I love veils because I think that really completes the whole bridal look..some people would say that without the veil, you would just look like a woman in a white dress (my mother says that all the time, lol)

But one of my bms is getting married 3 months before me and she hates how she looks in veils too and she's opting out of wearing one, and honestly, I think she'll look beautiful either way

i think a veil is just not for some girls. if you don't like the way it looks, or if it doesn't seem natural when you try it on, i don't think you need one! i probably am not going to wear one!

Thanks ladies so much for your opinions. I figure i will go look but if I dont' find one i really really like and my dad doesn't care (b/c right nwo its my mom insisting for my dad) then I don't think i'm going too.

im not a fan of veil's either, i dont think im having one, and if i do itll only be for the ceremony then after its coming right off.

if you dont like it...dont do it. it is your wedding and although it will be nice to have your dad lift the veil, its not necessary!

i was never a fan, and didnt want one, but now that ive had it on with the dress i love the look. but its completely up to you, if you dont like how it looks then dont get one, but you can always just wear it during the ceremony for your momma, and then take it off for pictures....? your choice
