I prefer the finished edge look. Mine had a thin platinum thread running through it. It was pretty.

Just be careful with the finished edge, it tends to show up too much in pictures. I saw one photo where the girl looked like she had antennae coming out of her head with the ribbon edge! I'm going with plain!

I also heard from a photographer that while a finished edge looks great the day of, in photos it can appear as a black line...

I prefer cut edge....it also depends on your dress.

My dress had to much detail so I went with plain edge! I love the finished edge but I think whatever goes best with your dress should be first priority.

I agree with Cira. The style of your dress should determine the style of your veil. My gown had a lot of detailed beading on the bodice a cut edge worked perfectly with it. I have also seen very simple gowns with georgeous lace veils. The important thing is the total look you dont want one piece competing with the other.
