Hi Guys! I went shopping this weekend for my veil and was wondering if you could help me out with some prices. I got quoted $450 for a cathedral veil with rolled edges. I wanted the cathedral detachable and they said it will be extra. Plus I woul like more layers because I felt it was not full enough. Am I getting ripped off? What are some good veil and headpice places?

Re: Veil prices
is their a specific person I should look for on ebay?
I fell in love with one that was $330 but this weekend I went to Barrons in Tri County and a very similar one was $145.

Re: Veil prices
I ordered one from a member on Ebay that Pookiesangel recommended to me. FM her and see if she still has the name...I have no idea what it is.

Re: Veil prices
Veils are something it should be easy to negotiate on.
I got a cathedral length veil with detachable blusher with small pearls and rhinestones sewn on (very spread out) And I got it for less than half the retail price listed on it. I negotiated the price as I was buying my dress.
...and take it from a Sales Person - if you are ordering it from some one who works for a salon, and needs to make a quota, try to get it at the end of the month. You'll have more bargaining power.
Otherwise eBay all the way!! I just got my tiara there. $25 and I love it. Everything else I liked was over $300.

I got mine from Bridal Styles in Brooklyn. It was $165 for cathedral length with Swavorski crystals with a rolled edge and a detatchable blusher.

Re: Veil prices
I used veilaccents.com for $25. I could not see spending a lot on something that I will take off as soon as our first dance is over.

My thoughts exactly. I will be making my own for practically nothing compared to what these stores charge.

Re: Veil prices
I had mine made last week by Barrons in the Levittown Flea Market She is absolutely fantastic. It cost me 80$ and I love it. I have a detachable blusher and rhinestones placed a ll over the veil.
