I do not understand why veil prices are so high. I refuse to pay over $50 for mine. I honestly don't think $145 is a good price - just my feeling. I'm sure it's beautiful, but it's just a lot of money to me.

I kept going back and forth but finally my mom was like JUST GET IT.

I liked it and I'm sure thats all that matters, I just didnt realize what they cost. I think I figured they were like $150 in bridal shops and more like $50-$60 at Barron's.

Oh well

Thanks ladies - you all made me feel a little better.

some bridal shops charge very high prices. When i bought my dress, the veils they had me try on at kleinfelds with the dress were $1800 ...i ended up going to this little shop in the village and bought a veil. Its two pieces, one is a 3 yard cathedral length veil with satin edge, the other is elbow length with satin edge and i paid $300 for both pieces together

$1,800 HA FREAKING HA.

I would never LOL. At the end of the day - its a freaking piece of TULLE. LOL

That sounds so pretty though!

Are you all set for Saturday?

yeah i was shocked too that it was that much for the veil.

I just went with traditional veil, but thank you

not yet lol, everyday ive been running around and have so much to do but yeah pretty much almost ready. I cant wait to wake up saturday and not have anything left to do

I think mine was like $100 and it was custom made. But i had it done in maine, so I can't recommend her- otherwise I would!

I got mine at Barron's. It is cathedral with one tier. The cathedral is detachable so I dont have to wear it all night. They died it to match my dress.

Total: $100

Re: Veil Prices

mine was 3 tiers and it was about $350 but a word of advice!! DO NOT get it mounted on a stick if you plan on wearing it for a while! My only complaint was that my veil kept pulling out of my hair!

Did I overpay for my veil? I got it at Barron's but it was $145

It was elbow length with scalloped edges and beading. . .I just didn't realize how expensive they are. It was two tier also. . .

Did anyone try talking down the prices at Barron's? I'm having buyer's remorse

It sounds exactly like the one I tried on and I almost ordered....it was $135 and definitely was beautiful but for me, I'm getting married at the hall and I am definitely taking it off after the ceremony so I didn't want to spend that much.

They certainly had beautiful veils though so don't stress yourself over it. If you like it, it's worth it.
