Veil question

What's everyone doing with their veil? Will you have it over your face during the entire ceremony? When I tried on my veil it was a little uncomfortable having this thing over my face. Any ideas?

Veil question

I'm not wearing mine over my face. It would hit my lipstick and make-up and probably be a mess!! For me though!!

Veil question

I wore mine over my face walking down the aisle and when my father turned to kiss me he lifted it over and back. It remained back for the ceremony.

Veil question

I did not wear a 'blusher' over my face at all. Just the regular veil and it didn't bother me at all - nothing to fight with.

Veil question

I'm doing the same thing as Karen H. I am going to wear it walking down the aisle and then have it back for the rest of the ceremony.

Veil question

HI!! actually I did not want to wear it over my face.. I am a clutz, and I said I wont be able to see straight, and I willprobably trip down the aisle.. but my husband to be has made a special request and would like me to wear it over my face.. he is kinda the old fashioned type.. so now I am wearing it over my face.. and I am looking for a long veil for the back.. kinda like a catherdral length....there are places in the garment district in NYC that do bridal veils and headpieces custom. they really have beautiful stuff.. I believe they are all on 40th street and 6th ave, but I can get you phone numbers if you are interested.

Veil question - Tami

Any information would be great. If I can get a very sheer veil than maybe it won't be so bad wearing over my face. Thanks.

Veil question - Tami

Sure no problem.. I will post them tomorrow.. I have the information at home.. i was thinking sheer too.. actually they are not that bad, and I like the idea of my dad lifting it off and giving me away.. at that point i will keep the veil back and not on my face for the ceremony.

Tami - Crest Hollow

We visited 4 other places before we decided on the Crest Hollow. What I loved about the place are the gardens. There are a couple of areas right on the premises to take pictures so you don't have to go to a different location. We're planning on having our cocktail hour outside by the pool (weather permitting) and using the Emerald room on the first floor where you have a great view of the pool. I was hesitant when I heard they don't do food tastings however if you do a search on this board, you'll find nothing but great comments on their food and service. If you have a particular question let me know.

When you pick your menu with Joe, he will let you sample the cocktail hour food (which we did and it was great)! Just ask! We are having the same wedding (outdoor cocktails weather permitting and emerald room reception) on July 8! I will post my review. So far the Crest Hollow has been a pleasure to deal with!

Veil question -here is some info, Maria

I went to this place on 252 W 40th it is called Sposabella Lace and La Sposa Veil.. The number is 212-354-4729.. you may have to wait, but they let you try on what you like, and the prices were not bad.. plaus they can make the veils right there.. it is small and not too fancy.. but i think I am going to go there for my headpiece and veil!
