I have been looking at veils and am getting discouraged. All of them to be so poufy on top and I hate the way it looks on me. Is there a special term for the type of veil that is not as poufy?????????????????????
TIA

Re: veil question
I'm not sure of the names or different types of veils but I had the same problem. i ended up ordering mine from bridal fashion mall.com
Andrea, I love that veil, it is exactly what I am looking for!!!!

Re: veil question
You can get a single tier or 2 tier. The more tier.. the poufier.
Also, look for the placement on your hair. A veil on the 'top' will be more pouffy.
Personally, I am placing my veil on the back so it just falls straight (not pouffy!)

Re: veil question
another factor that affects the poufyness of a veil is how wide it is cut. the wider, the more poufy it is!

Re: veil question
Yeah, part of it is the cut and how its attached to the comb. I went to barons in tri-county and she helped me with that b/c I also didn't want a poufy veil.

Re: veil question
I would also try different fabrics - silk and english netting are heavier and drape differently than bridal illusion, which most veils are made of. There are great pictures of this on www.tradewindtiaras.com. Or, get a circle cut/cage veil - not having the comb helps.
