This might be a stupid question but if you are getting married in a church do you have to wear a cathedral length veil. I order a finger tip veil but someone told me that since i am getting married in a church that you should wear cathedral.

I've never heard of that. Although I think it's nice but, not necessary.

You don't. I've been to a lot of church weddings and non of the brides had them.

I am just wondering now, i bought a fingertip veil with crytal around the edges of it so if i decided to get a cathedral lenth veil should it be the same or should i just get it plain?

Me too... I don't want to hide my train. That would be a pretty silly rule.

Re: Veil Question
i havent searched or read about it anywhere...but i dont think its a rule either.
the last few church weddings ive been to...the bride wasn't wearing a cathedral length veil. and actually for most...the bride didnt put the veil over her head either.
so i think its just preference. although im sure i read somewhere that traditionally longer veils are for more formal ceremonies etc. so maybe that's where its coming from?

Re: Veil Question
As far as I know you are not required to wear one in a church. I'm getting married in a church and am also wearing a fingertip veil.
However i believe that if you are not getting married in a church/ house of worship you should not be wearing a cathedral veil. It is only to be worn in a church wedding.
