I have a silk white dress..... When I went today, I was shown two white colors.... A 'Diamond white' and a 'White', which has traces of blue almost in it. While the diamond white matched my dress, the white with the brighter tint to it really made my face pop. Should I go with the diamond white veil, which seemed a little drab in comparison and play it safe or should I opt for the slightly brighter white one? And lastly, does anyone know what I'm talking about or does this sound nuts?

were you wearing makeup similar to what you'll be wearing? that has an effect on it too...
sounds like you're leaning to the white as opposed to the diamond, which I think would look fine
I thought you already bought it?

I did... I have to call him back with the color I want... So, It's in limbo. He gave me two swatches and I compared them to the swatch of the dress. The slightly blue one is awesome, but the diamond white- a little more plain looking- matches better.

how much does the white one NOT match? Do you think you can get away with it? I would try the actual veil on with your dress

I got diamond white- my dress color is called natural. To be honest with you, I don't think people will notice- get the one you like.

With a silk dress, you usually wear diamond white, with tulle or organza you usually wear white. White has the blue in it therefore it really doesnt match silk or satin from what I have seen.

Thanks everyone! I think I will get the regular diamond white one, but I am a little bummed because on its own, I looked great in the white veil! Jenn, what you said is exactly what the people in the store said to me.
