I borrowed my best friend's veil for my wedding. I noticed tiny holes throughout almost looking like insect holes. I feel terrible because it's a gorgeous, $400 veil she got at Kleinfeld. I am trying to fix it now and the seamstress recommends replacing the tulle and sowing the new tulle onto the original trim. Do you think this will work and look or should I just buy her a new veil? Also, it's a light ivory so it may be difficult to find the exact color of the tulle. Any ideas?
TIA!!

Re: Veil Question
IMHO, I dont think its worth it because you can get a brand new viel for 100-200 so you might be better off doing that..I actually got my dress at Kleinfeld and fell in love with a veil and its was like 1200 or something crazy like that and so I took a pic and went to tri-county (Barrons) and they had almost the same one (heavily beaded with pearls and diamonds) and it cost me 140

Re: Veil Question
yeah that seems like alot of work! and might cost a lot of money! i would just buy a new one!
but im sure if you did have them fix it, it would come out like new!

Re: Veil Question
I think you should check with her before you do anything to it - she might get annoyed if you try to fix it. Give her the choice of how she wants it done - replace the tulle, new one, etc.

Re: Veil Question
I would check with your friend first before you do anything to the veil. If she says fix it then i would maybe try calling Kleinfelds and see what they say about fixing it to make it match close to perfect
