veil question..

so i just got my veil..its perfect..now i am going to keep it nmy house so my first question is

can i just hang it in a closet..do i have to box it up so it dont turn yellow or is t ok just hanging there

and second..when should i get it cleaned..right before the wedding or once now and once right before

OK I'm going to do my best with these q's bc my situation is a little different.

I got my veil from Klienfelds so they just told me to bring it with me to my frist fitting and they will keep it for me from that point on up until the wedding. They will press and clean it and all that for me.

BUT since I rush ordered it and have it now... they wrapped it in white tissue paper and it's in the klienfelds bag ... with room to breathe and just sitting like that in my closet until Sept or so when I give it back at the first fitting.

So if the tissue paper and being folded nicely without squishing it is enough for my veil.... i'm assuming that should be fine for yours as wel.

As far as cleaning it... Gina I wouldn't clean it now and hten again later. I would just wait and clean it right before the wedding. You might not even need it cleaned... just pressed however they do that. You don't want to take an extra chance that something can happen to it. I've heard girls take it to get cleaned or pressed and they had holed burned in it from the cleaning and stuff... so be careful. i would only have that done as few times as possible.

I think the stains come into play when it's in there for a really long time and the air just gets at it.

I hung mine on a hanger on my wall in my living room for about 3 months and it was fine. I never got it cleaned (it was bought brand new) and it didn't need pressing or anything.

Mine is hanging in a closet with a plastic dry cleaners bag over it. It's not squished in between anything so it doesn't wrinkle.

I'm not planning on getting mine cleaned at all. It's clean now and I don't foresee it getting dirty hanging in a closet. Plus, I don't want to risk it getting ruined from the cleaning so close to the wedding.

Mine's, or should I say Dina's, is on hanger on the outside of my closet in the bag from the cleaners.

I'm picking mine up from Barron's on the 16th, soooooooo I really hope its pressed and ready to go?????

I didn't even think of pressing OR cleaning mine! AHHHHHHHH
