I have always wanted a cathedral veil, it's one of the only things that I pictured about my wedding as a child. So now I am obsessing about finding the perfect veil. What is everyone doing? If your dress has bead work are you concerned about the veil hiding your dress detail?
Thanks

veil question
I'm not wearing a veil, but I love the ones with something along the edge - either lace or beading. Barron's had a lot of options when I went to look for my belt.

My dress has beading & i'm wearing a cathedral veil with rhinestones throughout. I dont think it will take away from the dress & besides, you're not going to wear it all night.

veil question
My dress is all lace and beading and I'm wearing a cathedral veil with lace and beading along the edge. My mom and I were concerned that lace annd beading might have been too much with my dress but whenever I put anything else on, even ones with beading or embroidery, not just plain, it just didn't stand up to the dress. It looked like it was missing something. So a lace and beaded cathedral veil it is!

Go to Barrons and show them a pic of your dress. They will get you the perfect veil!

I think a cathedral veil can look really beautiful especially when you are walking down the aisle. I think as long as the beading is minimal it can compliment is beautifully.

veil question
I had trouble deciding on a two-tier fingertip length or a cathedral. My dress has beading along the bustling and down the back of the zipper, and it the bottom of it is very textured. I have a blingy headpiece too, so i decided to go with a plain veil. Thankfully i didn't have to decide on the style because Bridal Styles gave me a phenomenal deal on both (especially since they're both plain).
My thoughts are, if your dress is very blingy, stick to a simple veil. If you've always dreamed of a cathedral veil, go with a single tier, straight, raw edged veil, which will allow your dress to show through beautifully and will give you an ethereal look. That's what the veil designer recommended for me because the dress is very unique and the details are the best part. OR if you can find one with delicate beading along the edge/bottom that matches your dress well, try that.
