I'm trying to find the perfect veil but I'm having a hard time. I was planning on wearing a fingertip veil until I read the follow...
'For brides under 5'4', a fingertip veil is not recommended. This veil usually ends about mid-thigh on a petite woman and would visually cut your leg in half.'
I am only 5'2'...What length would you suggest that I get?
My dress has alot of detail in the back and I do not want to cut that in half that's why I was going with the fingertip length. The elbow length I think will be too short?!?!?!
Any suggestions?

All fingertips end at about mid-thigh. If you are concerned about how it would look, what about an elbow length ?
Try both on for length to get an idea, and then you get what you want.

I am only 5' and i think mine was finertip length? I don't think i looked short...i also did a single layer so you could see the detailing on the back if my dress...here's a couple pics...more in my albums.
ETA: it also depends where on your head you place the comb...if i did it under the hair it would've hit lower on me.
fingertip is nice for someone who is short (I'm 5 2 as well) Also, consider a removable extension for the ceremony.

I love your veil too. What kind of a veil did you have? I like that it's sheer (that's what I'm looking for) and one layer. Yet it still looks full...that's exactly what I'd like.

thanks..it was made by Edward Berger style #4606 Veils I bought it at Fantasia in Rocky Pt but i also tried on something very similar at Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills..here's a pic..

Mine is in my album-I am 5'6 and wore fingertip but it seemed longer. You should just try them on. I also went with one tier and embellished. LOVED my veil. was by Symphony.
