Veils

Re: Veils

I got mine at Macy's Bridal in Manhasset when I was buying my dress, this way I could make sure it looked good with the dress. I can't remember the exact price of the veil. I think it was $300 something, but I had gotten a 20% discount off that price.

Re: Veils

I ordered mine from occanseydesigns. com for about $65 inc shipping. They can customize them however you need. Mine is a drop veil (aka one layer)chapel length (approx. 112ins), ivory w/ cut edge. I'm attaching with hair pins b/c I didn't want gathering to cause poof. Here's a pic from her site...You can see a little of it in my album from my first fitting..sorry I didn' t fluff lol

2 tier with blusher, cathedral veil from Barrons, $100. I brought a pic of me with the one from Kleinfelds and they are going to custom design the same one. I gave them a swatch of my dress to match the color too! I will let you know how it comes out. It will be done at the end of the month!

I got it at the bridal salon I ordered my dress from.....I got a two tier one cathedral length with swaroski crystals, the blusher is fingertip length for $300.

do you have a pic?

Denise
are you looking for a veil??

yes and if you know a place in the city that would be great. Kleinfelds veils are $1800, for a veil eh i dont know, i mean if something is worth that much then yeah but im sure i can get the exact same veil for less

YES! she (NapaValleyGirl) recommended a place to me in the east village - I went friday.... it's on east 9th btwn 1st and A... called Bridal Veil Falls. She'll make whatever you want - the one I want she said would be about $175. Definitely check it out - I agree I don't think a veil is work $1800; that's nuts.

I'm going back sometime this week now that i have a swatch of my dress

i told her my wedding was 5/31 and she said no problem. I think she only needs a couple of weeks. definitely call and talk to her - the hours on her website are wrong too; she's open until 7 but not everyday.

Re: Veils

I couldn't find a veil I liked in stores that didn't cost a fortune, so I did some searching and found a great pattern for making my own! (and it cost less than $20)

Re: Veils

Well the whole head ensemble was going to cost more than the dress if I went with what I picked out at the store. Which I wasn't going to pay that much money for a few pieces of fabric!

$25 for my veil, ebay, two tier with scattered crystals, shipping included.
