Vellum Paper Question

I am in the midst of making my memorial candle... i printed out everyone's name on vellum paper and now I can't get it to stick to the candle. (To affix the ribbons I used a hot glue gun and then I pushed a pin in to keep it there).... don't want to stick pins in the vellum paper because they will be in the front. (The pins in the ribbons are at the back of the candle.)

Help please!!

Re: Vellum Paper Question

not sure if this will work for the candle or not...but craft stores sell 'vellum tape' you cut a piece and rub it...pell off the backing and then attach the vellum...its clear so u cant see it through the vellum. i heard there is vellum spray too...but i didnt see it at ac moore or michaels (just the tape).

or double sided tape maybe?

Heat the wax a bit and see if the paper will stick to the hot wax (experiment on a candle your not using)

Or get decorative pins and pin into the candle but they will look pretty like a border

Double sided tape? The permanent kind!! I made the mistake of getting the semi perrmanent, not a fun experience.

Re: Vellum Paper Question

I just made mine for my engagement party and I used thin double back tape and attached down where the paper meets. I tried the glue gun but it was WAY to messy for me!!!!! The double back tape really helped an my ribbon is on top which also stuck with the double back tape. Hope this helps!!!!!
