Hi Ladies -- I'm going to see Bob at velvet studios this weekend. Have any of you booked him and what do you think? If you don't mind sharing, can I ask around what you're paying for them?

we are using Bob. He worked with us to customize a package...I think they range from 2000 to 5000 based on what you want to include.
We were really excited about one particular type of album he does and we are also getting a 16 x 20 on canvas.
he did our e-pics too under the brooklyn bridge - they were cute and we used one for our STDs.

I booked with Velvet. I really like their style of photography and I didn't think their prices were bad. I'm doing a package with traditional albums though - I don't like the magazine style. I also went with someone different for the videography (I don't know if you were looking into that) who was cheaper and I liked better. FM me if you want details.

There are a bunch of Velvet Brides on here. I went to see them. I loved them, loved their work. FH wasn't comfortable booking with them though. They were one of the first ones we looked at and he was hemming and hawing about EVERYTHING!

I booked Velvet as well. We liked their photography style and they are professional.
We really clicked w/ Carolina who will be one of our photographers.
Plus, they are the house photographers @ CLM which is helpful.

I was also going to post for Velvet Studios jean!..my sister, jeanla4c, had them, and not only did the pictures come out so well, they were all really friendly. The pictures are beautiful!!

Since I live in Los Angeles, I did not have the luxury of meeting with a lot of photographers. Bob was one of the three that I met.
Their work is great and I felt that the prices were more than fair. I was torn between Velvet and another photographer and FI just felt more comfortable with someone else. So we went with the other guy.

We met with 7 photographers total. We went with Velvet Studio based on Bob himself (personality), quality of his work compared to others we had seen, and price. When we did e-pics we had a blast with him, and we are confident that our wedding pics will be the same high quality. Also, our wedding ceremony is being held in a unique location. Some, but not all the photographers asked for access to the premises in advance of the wedding - Bob being one of them. This was a selling point for us.
