Vender Questions About Brentwood Country Club

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has used (or knows someone who has recently) the Brentwood Country Club and their vendors. So far I have heard really good things about the place itself (especially the food), I have met with them and really love the place and will probably book them, but I was wondering about the vendors they use...specifically:
** Photography (Hi-Lite Studios - I've seen a couple of reviews on here and now have some reservations)
* Video (Memories Are Forever - I haven't seen any info on them)
* Limo (Avanti - I have to upgrade the package, so I wonder if I should upgrade with them or find someone else)

I'm booked for BCC in October. I loved the feel of it from the beginning. I'm not a fan of huge reception halls or places where there is more than 1 affair going on. And for the price, you really can't beat it. This is what we've decided so far...

I'm not using their videographer, I found a company b/f I even booked w/ them and his stuff was just a much higher quality. To me the video is more important than the pictures b/c when you watch it, it takes you right back to the day.

I am using their photographers, I've read the reviews here also but have also spoken to many people that says their good. I will voice my concerns over what I have read when I meet with them.

I also using their limos. We have to upgrade also, so I was looking around to see if I could get a better deal elsewhere. But I think I may just go with them, I really don't need to add another thing to my plate.

Also using their florist. Ken is very nice and is very accomodating.

But I am not using their DJ's. Didn't get a good vibe from them at the showcase and I just want someone who can better cater to our ethnic backgrounds.

Just wanted to edit: I saw actual proofs from photographers and they are terrible!!! So here I am 6 months b/f my wedding looking for a new photographer!!

My friends brother got married at BCC. The wedding was fabulous! The food was good, the DJ was good. It was very nice.

I was unimpressed by their wedding pictures though. They used HiLite studios. They were ok, but nothing more than people standing in lines. No creative poses or anything.

A friend I met through work used BCC and HiLite (the BCC photog) and still cries, 1 year post-wedding, when you ask to see her proofs.

To this day (wedding was last Feb), she hasn't shown anyone the proofs except her husband and her mother, and her own MOTHER told her she should get her money back. I can't objectively say how they were, because I never saw them with my own eyes. She actually got dressed and had her hair and makeup done again and had a different photo company take pics of her so she could have an enlargement in their living room.

She had no complaints about any of the other vendors, but I know that she definitely upgraded the menu (added more food to the CH). She loved the DJ!

I got married at BCC in Sept '06. I did a complete review of all the vendors in my review to the last little detail. I suggest you read it - I recommend getting a different photographer, esp to get digital, cause Hi-Lite doesn't do any of it.

A good friend of mine got married there awhile back--and the BCC itself was pretty good. The food was yummy, and the staff did a great job. As for their vendors....they weren't too happy.

Their pics were not quite what they had hoped for. I agree with other ppl that you might want to look elsewhere for your photographer. Another friend of mine who married at BCC said the same thing. They regretted that their pics seem just 'posed' and 'uncomfortable.' They just didn't seem to get the feel they wanted. As for the other couple, they just flat out did not like their pics at all.
