Here's the question : Which vendors are you paying for (as part of your head count)? Is there a rule of thumb?

Since I didn't meet my minimim amount of guests, I had to include vendors as apart of it. (2 photographers, 2 DJs and 1 MC, cocktail musician, videographer).
But had I met the minimim, vendors would've been half price. That's how my RH does it, not sure if that's standard.

Mine are all included for free I thought that was pretty amazing. I don't know any RH that did that.

Ours is like that too but even if we're under and we use the vendors toward the minimum and we still get the vendor rate. So for example if we're paying $100pp, $50 for vendor, $25 for recommended vendor so if we only have 140 people we pay 140 x $100 and then photographer is $50, Tommy's Tunes is a recc. vendor so it's $25 x 2. Hope this makes sense. Everyone does it different tho.

honestly, i would wait until you get your rsvp's back. Like someone else mentioned, if you are going to be below minimum then the vendors will get counted towards your headcount and you wont pay extra for them.
Otherwise its half price for outside vendors, and i would say free for house vendors but i remember you said in the other thread that none of your vendors are house vendors.

in house vendor's are free and outside vendor's are 50% off.

They are not apart of my head count, minimum met or not. Prefered vendors or my own are all the same, 50% off per head. I have a lot of vendors to feed.

Our RH was going to charge us half price for those that were house vendors and those that were not house vendors we'd have to pay for their meal (not sure how much because we didn't use any non house vendors other than the florist)
Since I didn't meet my minimun they just included them in the final count.
