Why are some vendor names blocked? I know some vendors who do not pay to be on this site and there names are not blocked, so that can't be it. Should I avoid blocked names? Some of them seem so popular despite the block (ex. B urtons).
In some cases it is vendors that don't pay to be on the site. But for some reason they take different things (photog, invites) more seriously than others (they don't block DJs)
It has to do I believe with the vendors causing problems or requesting their name to be removed. It has nothing to do with whether or not the vendor paid to advertise on the site. Some vendors have come on here and pretended to be brides to get business, some have requested their names removed due to reviews and such

I believe usually when a vendor is blocked, it's at vendor's request. A lot of times it's because they've gotten some bad reviews on the site
I don't know... there are plenty of reputable vendors that people rave about who are blocked (like B*urtons). I still think it's at least partially tied to advertising. If we can post freely about them and they're getting free advertising on the site, why would they ever pay to be an LIW vendor? I've never actually seen CS clarify the issue.
If a vendor is blocked and still getting good reviews on LIW, I wouldn't hesitate to use them.
I dont pretend to know why... you can ask the LIW admins if you want to know... each case is different...
Who knows-- it doesnt mean anything... if I see someone has written a bad review about a vendor I just ask them who it was lol
What I don't understand is everyone knows what B*urto* stands for. So it's not like they are being blocked.
in some ways I feel that there are so many vendors, if there name is blocked, maybe I should just move on to the next one. But I want to be fair, which is why I was asking why some are blocked and some are not.

i thought it was only non paying vendors...????@!?!
I spoke with a vendor personally & he told me LIW asked them to be a vendor since they are so well known & liked & the vendor said no 'why should i pay to be a vendor when my name is already on there bringing me people without paying' so they block that vendors name!
what i noticed is its usually really popular vendors that dont want to pay to be on LIW.
