If you pay all your vendor in full before the wedding...or do you pay some on the day of???
Because our wedding's on the 13th of October, are Reception Hall due date is Sept 29th....and the Caterer is due the 8th of October.

you usually don't pay the day of... i paid my RH 10 days before (actually 2 weeks). as for other vendors, some get paid the day of in cash, but it should be in your contract.

Okay ..well my mom just wanted to make sure that they show up and not run off with our money ..she's a little paranoid about it...

We have a contract ..which says when to pay it ..but like i said my mom just wants to make sure they show up and that our tables and chairs are there...

usually you have to pay the florist, hall, caterer, bakery in completely... about a week or 2 before the wedding. It's stated in the contract... mainly becuase they must purchase so many supplies....
photographer you pay about 80-90% right before the wedding (about a week or so), with the remaining chunk when you receive the proofs.
other vendors you often only pay the bulk on the wedding day... DJ and limo for example, becuase they have low overhead, and provide services w/o goods.

My parents were paranoid too which is why I was adament about having real contracts and probably drove some of my vendors nuts asking to put in clauses etc. This bit of work in the beginning made everyone much more comfortable in the end

We paid the RH, Limo and florist before the wedding.
DJ in full the day of-Photo when we picked up our proofs

The only vendors whom we have to pay day of is the band. But we have been making m payments all along so the balnce isn't that much. Only payments you should be making day of are the tips. Check with your vendors every one is different but primarily due prior to the wedding.
