Is anyone nervous about booking a vendor who is far away from their reception hall. I'm about to look into florists and I'm having a day wedding with the ceremony at the hall so I really need my flowers to be on time. Should I only stick to florists close by or is that silly?

Re: Vendor Question
That was one of my concerns too, I didn't want any of my vendors being too far out..
I think its fine if you make sure you write the arrival time of the vendor on the contract. Get everything in writing, this way they'll go by it!

Re: Vendor Question
if you book it, they will make the arrangments to be there...
we had our ceremony music and dj both out in westchester and our wedding was at girgio's.. now that is a drive from one end of the island to the other end....
if you like the work and pay them, they will come

Re: Vendor Question
My wedding was in Westchester and all of my vendors were from LI, it worked out to be fine. I never considered the distance to be a problem. As long as the vendors know what time they should be ready, it should be ok.

Re: Vendor Question
my florist is located in NYC and my wedding was in Nassau. I had no concern about this and everything went off without a hitch.
