Vendor rant

So yesterday FH and I went to After Hours in the mall because he had to get fitted for his tux for his friends wedding. Well, as soon as we walked in we heard a groom complaining that 2 of his groomsmen got the wrong tuxes. And by wrong I mean they were supposed to have lilac vests and theirs were green! They told him they werent going to be able to get him the right ones until 2:00 today. He calls his FW and finds out that the limo is picking them up at 3 so that was really going to be cutting it close but since that was their only option they had to go with that. I felt so bad for him.

Then.......we're listening to the other salesgirl who was showing another couple different tuxes and she's like 'This one costs 59.99...or is it 69.99?' Um..shouldnt you know your prices before you deal with customers?

So then FH finally gets measured and as shes measuring him shes telling us how the groom (FH's friend) was complaining about his FW side of the family when he was there. Now luckily its no secret to his FW how he feels but she still shouldnt have been telling us this; what if we were part of her family!

Needless to say, we know where we're NOT gonig to be getting oyr tuxes from!

Wow- that is so tacky!

I was considering them b/c they match David's Bridal and I may get the BM dresses ther, but now, i think we are definitely going to Tuxedo Park.

OMG MY Friend TOLD ME NOT TO GO THERE. She said that when she had her wedding EVERY SINGLE ONE of the tuxedos they got were wrong and had to be redone. She was soooooo pissed off.

my friedn went there for her tuxes too and she had so many problems!! they messed up the GROOMS jacket!!! the cuffs were like 3 inches too short! ( he is 6'7) and they didnt have time to fix it and she had a rainbow wedding and they messed up 1 color vest they gave her turquise not green and the gave her brohter a vest that was a size too small!!! she told me she will kill me if i ever deal with them! lol

you should defiantly check out gennaros it is next to the bridal suite in centereach. my sister used them and my father said it was probably the most comfortable tux he ever wore and the quality was great. he said that even the shoes were super comfy. definatly check them out he was sooo pleased

Thats where I got my dress from so I'll probably look there first.

wow. that scares me and makes me nervous. but we want the guys to match with david's bridal so I guess the men will just have to go way in advance so if any problems they won't be right before the wedding!

maybe fh can go somewhere else. was this in roosevelt field? or smithaven?

OMG- between them and Davids- they called every day. I told After hours the wedding is off and they are upsetting me by calling- lol

THEN, when I finally made a Davids apt, I went and they kept me waiting for an hour- no exageration! They were ok once I tried things on, but an hour (and I was on break from work)
