first of all when i went to get my 2nd fitting done Ms. F made me wait while she helped every other bride than me. i waited patiently for my turn THEN when she FINALLY decided to help me she thought i was a BM and went looking for a BM dress!!!! w-t-f i TOLD her i was a bride at the very beginning. then she YELLED at me for losing weight and told me that she had to take the dress in more. i asked her when it would be ready she told me she'll let me know. that was exactly 1 month ago. i have been VERY patient. i called them up today cause well .. my wedding is TWELVE days away!! and they said it was ready on the 6th .. no one BOTHERED to tell me!!!!!
i just hope my dress fits ....

OMGGGGGGGGGG I AM SO SORRY!!!! I think you should call there and get a Manager on the phone and explain what is going on and DEMAND your dress ASAP, that is ridiculous.
I HATE DAVID'S BRIDAL! I had the absolute worst experience there ever and like a fool I went back after they finally corrected the situation and apologized to me. Of course, when I went back, there was a huge incident between the manager and sales girl....nobody there has any clue what they are doing. I will never go there again.
If you have to call their corporate office, you should do it right away. I am so sorry, I hope u get ur dress soon. I'm sure it will all be ok!!

I went there recently to try on a dress because Im a bridesmaid for my friends wedding, and once I told her I just needed to try it on for size she told me they dont do that. I said, well shes in Boston, and she said, well this is commission based, so if you arent buying it here, we arent helping you. I said, so you are saying its all about you, not the bride. She said YEP!!! Well, I got to try one on there, and I wish I had a tape recorder to play that for the manager!!!

So sorry to hear that. I got my dress there, but am taking it to a private seamstress for alterations. I can't believe she yelled at you for losing weight...dont most brides lose weight before their wedding?

I am so sorry you went through all that! I would call the corporate office and complain! Not only were they rude but they also yelled at you for losing weight- w-t-h! Also I would be very upset that they didn't call you before when it was ready on the 6th!
It's really just one reason why I didn't want to go with David's Bridal for my gown but had no choice when it came to BM, MoH and FG because they are all OOT.

Yeah. My sister had a whole freaking pile of problems when she went through david's in westbury. Her alterations came out horrible, her hem was crooked. They fixed it, but still. . . .
When I went there to look at dresses, (I had made an appointment, mind you) the girl helped me pick out 3 dresses (yes, only 3) and left me half laced up for like 20 minutes (I had to have my Mom lace me up enough so I could even walk out). When she came back she said 'Sorry, someone came in who was actually ordering a dress today, not just looking. I needed to help her first'
I was livid. I didn't like them there at ALL.

I had a bad experience there too. I went there on a Tuesday morning and there wasn't a perosn in the store. It was my 1st time looking at dresses. I didn't want to try anything on. I just wanted to look through the rack just to get an idea of what I liked. All of the dresses were in plastic so it shouldn't have been a big deal. Some nasty witch who worked there was so freaking rude to me, she said I wasn't allowed to look on my own and I had to make an appt. There wasn't a person in the store so it's not like she was busy. She was so rude that I actually called and spoke with the manager and got her in trouble. Haha!

Unfortunately David's has a bad reputation for mishandling their clients.
I hope once you have your dress you will be so happy you will forget about your bad experience altogether!

It'll be fine. Just be super picky about how it came out! Bring someone with you when you go to pick it up and have them look it all over with you. . . .
My sister's dress looked gorgeous for her wedding, it just took a couple of tries to get there.

i had a bad experience with davids in westbury also but that was just when i was looking for dresses so i went to the one in jersey instead and they are sooo much nicer. im a bit scared about going for alterations with them but we'll see. i have an appt on the 8th.

I just went there recently for BM dress for another wedding I am in. I felt horrible for the bride (my friend)...they never gave her the attention she deserved. They are helping 12 other pople at the same time. Its crazy in there. I told her we needed to leave and we went to another place wehre she finalyl got the attention she deserved!
On the other hand...my sister got her dress there. No problems...but did not have it altered there
