VENDOR RANT!!! WINGATE INN COMMACK

do not book and if you have cancel

they are blaming me for their mistake

they called me to say that i did not reach my 10 rooms when in fact i would have had 12 rooms but they had some a$$ answering the phone and said that all the rooms were booked up on sunday ( 4 days before cut off date) when i only has 8 rooms

so those guests had to make individual bookings and pay more so they could stay where we all are staying..but they do not show up in the block..when i told her the 4 guests tha ti knew of doing this she saw them all and would not switch them into the block because the cut off date was yesterday and there is nothing that they can do

now its a month before and they are saying that they can not give me the shuttle that they said would be mine if i had 10 rooms because i have 8

but they see the other rooms that are booke dare people in my wedding group..how else would i know their names and when they were staying

so were trying to find a new hotel

I booked with the Wingate in garden city but now theyre La Quinta. A few people booked the rooms AFTER the cut off date and they still let me get the free shuttle even though I reached the 15 rooms after the cut off date. Thats CRAP what they did to you. Are you telling the people who booked rooms to cancel them??

That is horrible!

At the very least they should be able to switch them- I'm going through something similar to what you are and it just stinks!!

Did you try and complain to the highest management person you possibly could?

I hope that either you do find a new hotel with better service or they give you the shuttle regardless for free.

im yelling at them and they are sying that its my guests fault for waiting unil yesterday to tell me this happend and not befoe the cut off date

this is complete crap and they have made 4 mistakes during my block

i had to resign a contract 4 TIMES!!!!!! because of the mistakes they were making

It is not your guests fault- it's clearly theirs (the hotel).

Your guests clearly just wanted to be able to come for your wedding - it's the people at the hotel that screwed it up.

I wonder why some hotels think they know what the heck they are doing when they clearly don't.

I would keep trying to see if something can be worked out - it seems that you're giving them alot of business and they're just adding unneccessary stress on you about all this.

I would continue to raise holy hell until they accomodate you. And what is up with the no shuttle business? That's CRAP.

right now my sister and i are trying to switch all the rooms to another hotel maybe they weill get scared and give me the shutlle

this is stupid

i can not even believe this is happening a month before

i cant just suck it up and stay there..i need to figure something out QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what about the rt 110 hotels? Hilton, Marriott, Courtyard Marriott?

hilton was too expensive compared to what wingate was giving me

thats the prob..i got such a great rate im having trouble finding a match for it with a month to go
nd sheratin came really close but did not have the shuttle

and i am waiting to hear back from marriot republic
