Vendor RAVE
On Friday I went to Lillette's in Baldwin, and I have to say it was the best dress shopping experience I had so far. Honestly, I only had two others (Bridal Reflections Carle Place and Kleinfelds), but it was such a more pleasant experience. And the funny part is, we almost cancelled because I read some really awful reviews when you google it. I worked with Pat, and I was running about 20 minutes late. My friend got there before me and warned Pat that I was tiny and asked if there were any petite/small samples I could try on for fit. Well she came out with this Maggie Sottero - Mona Lisa Royale that was almost exactly my size. It was size 4 and designed 3 inches shorter than the petite. That was the first dress I put on, and Pat did a great job of tying me in that corset. I walked out and strangers in the store were oohing and ahhing over the dress. Pat continued bringing out more dresses for me, since I am so indecisive. My friend asked how much the Maggie sample would be, and during the changing Pat told me that she checked, and if I was interested it would be $550. This dress is pretty much brand new. Pat said that there really aren't many customers who come in that she can fit into that dress. It was custom ordered, the deposit was left, and the girl never picked it up or returned any phone calls, so now it's a sample. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go back there sometime next week and put my own deposit on it. Then after I changed, and Pat filled out the paper work, I went browsing through the BM dresses. I pulled off a few and had my friend try on some. Pat helped her too! When we were walking out, my FSIL asked the time and was amazed that I was in there for well over 2 hours!! Usually the appointments only last an 1, and at 45 they're trying to wrap everything up.
