Vendor RAVE!!!
I'm sorry I couldn't post this sooner, but I've been MIA due to the flu.
So I met with Sheryl from Black Dahlia a few nights ago and she was AMAZING! You can tell she had so much experience and really loved floral design. She gave me an AMAZING price quote (FM me for details) and I felt really confident in her. I left the meeting feeling like I didn't want to see anyone else. She made me a sample centerpiece right then and there and told me she could make it again if FH wanted to see it before we put down the deposit. She did something with the vases that I had never seen done. She was definitely innovative! I told her that I was thinking of doing some of the centerpieces DIY and she was giving me great ideas on how to accomplish them and told me if I ever had questions I could ask her. She EVEN offered for me to join her when she goes to the wholesaler to pick out the flowers for her to use for my wedding. I understand it is still a business, but she was just so genuine about making the flowers perfect for my day. I was just so blown away by her professionalism, natural talent, and warm demeanor. I believe I found my florist!
No offense, but when I met with B*urton's, it just felt so business and wedding cookie cutter. They didn't really seem willing to move things around and the quote B*urton's gave me was DOUBLE what Black Dahlia did for the centerpieces. I have heard great things about B*urton's, but IMHO they just don't have the genuine feel that Black Dahlia did.
