In March of 08 I went to a wedding workshop and I ended up winning 3000 to an April Reed wedding cake. My RH provides the cake so I was like hmmm...but at the same time...$3000 towards a cake... YEAH I'll take it!!!
So yesterday FH and I met up with her in the city for our first meeting. She was AMAZING on so many levels!!! She came off so professional, modest, energetic, and simply amazing! She showed us pictures of her work which is INCREDIBLE!!! Im telling you to google her and take a look at some designs... she was featured in so many magazines and E...even in Martha Stewie!! So like I said, we looked at pics and as we were commenting, she took notes on what we tended to lean towards and against. She told me that by Tuesday she will have 3 different designs based on our likings and then we could take it from there!
The best part of it is... at the end she gave us a big bag. Inside the bag was a box filled with all different types of cakes and frostings...I had go off the diet when we got home... THEY WERE DELISH!!!
Has anyone ever had almond cake? That was by far my fav and I was curious if people would find that weird that it was a wedding cake? The Vanilla was also amazing!
Some frostings we loved- coffee...pistachio...lemon...vanilla...choc...hazelnut...rasp..Yummmmm...I think I nee dto sneak another taste before I leave for work hehe

I have never tasted that almond cake but is there any way she can make the cake with almond since that is your favorite and then another flavor that most people eat?
