vendor raves!!!!
Noteworthy in Woodbury--I got gorgeous invites from them!!! C'est papier. I just got them. They were quick and attentive. They carry some great lines there!!
Mary's Corsetiere (also Woodbury) --She measured me, showed me a bra and told me to come back closer to my wedding date (no hard sell there). I was between 2 sizes so she said to see if I lose or gain weight. Of course, I want to lose. Then she said that either way, they can alter the bra, but it is good to get an exact size. She just looked at me and knew that I have a short torso and long legs--which means that I need a corset that is made for a shorter body. We tried on the 2 sizes that I am considering. She pinned both to show me how they would look altered. Then she wrote down the style numbers and told me to come back after their vacation!!!!!!
Temple Chaverim (Reception and Ceremony there)--They answer any silly question. Everything is 'no problem.' They were even willing to agree to prices 'just in case' we decide to add more items to the menu (we can't decide about the sushi bar)--and we can decide later about if we want it. We are bringing in our own rabbi and so far their rabbi has been very accommodating in letting us do this (he has a right to say no).
Bella North Shore Flowers--They are doing my flowers and I was just at a wedding that they did. They use very high quality flowers and their designers are so talented (I dated a florist years ago, and he made me very picky about flowers).
Niteflight (band)---My FH and I have become big fans. They have a better sound than bands that cost $1,000 more. We've seen them play 3-4 times already.
Laurie Studios--The owner has a lovely personality and I liked his portfolio. He has an a la carte menu--no packages. We pay for them to come shoot the photos, then order as much or as little as we want. They offer the digital coffee table book albums that FH and I love. They give the bride and groom the digital files.
Classic Video Productions--A little higher in price than some others but FH wanted a great video. They are professionals with film school degrees. They are very meticulous about editing. They were willing to show us many videos that they did.
Ok, so this is my opinion so far on my vendors--I hope I am as happy after the wedding!!!!!!
