Vendor Raves-- Follow Your Heart and Inkspun
I just finished stuffing my envelopes, and I felt compelled to rave about the two vendors who made it possible for me to get my invites out on schedule.
1) Kathy from Follow Your Heart. I can't say enough about Kathy. She gave me a great discount on Encore invites and was ultra helpful in getting the company to customize them to my specifications. (I used to be a graphic designer, so I am ultra picky about paper stuff...) She was incredibly patient with my anal-retentive approach to this project. Long story short, three proofs later I had my dream invites in hand, and despite my pickiness, still on schedule. She is just wonderful!
2) Bill from Inkspun. Everyone in the wedding industry could take a page from Bill when it comes to customer service. I e-mailed him a question last friday, and within 10 minutes, he called me with the answer. When I finally got all my addresses together, I e-mailed them to him on Sunday night. By 10:00 Monday morning, I already had a proof. By yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, I already had the completed envelopes in hand. They look gorgeous. the font matches my invite font exactly, and he was even able to print them in a dark brown to match my color scheme. He returned my extra envelopes, but also put a note in the box, saying that he kept five envelopes in case I needed to add any guests to my list. If so, he will print and ship the additional envelopes for free. And the best part-- his services were only 39 cents per outer envelope! I added an additional five cents per envelope for the color ink, but even so 44 cents a piece is way below any quote I got for computer calligraphy.
