Vendor Seating...Do they get a placecard....

I am going to leave a few seats at the kids table for the vendors....do they need placecards? Is it bad to put them at the kids table? It is the only place with seats and are venue is strict about the number of tables they set up per # of people. Do I just write vendor on the place card since I do not know some of their names?

That is a good question . . . I think it would be nice so that they know where they are sitting, but not really necessary. I guess they should sit wherever there is room. Can you give me more detailed info about the strictness about the number of tables per number of guests, since I am getting married at Villa . . .

I would write the company they are from on the placecard

I think you could just have the maitre d' tell them.

They probably won't go to the place card table.

I'm going to see if I can have a separate table for them, since I have 5 band members, 2 photographers & a photographer's assistant.
thats' 8 people & our tables seat 10.

the running joke is that misbehaved family can sit at the other 2 seats

The vendors usually go eat in a different room. At least that is how it was at my wedding and every other one I have been too. So, no I don't think they get a placecard.

My vendors are eating in the same room as us and they will be sitting at their own table.

I didn't even think of this... I don't remember ever seeing a band not playing at a wedding... What do they do about music during dinner?
I am not planning on having anything for the band, they can eat at the drums or keyboard and keep playing!

My hall doesn't have a separate room that I am aware of. Unless they eat in the kitchen.

My band has it in the contract how many breaks they take & for how long.

They say they will play recorded music during that time.

They sent a questionaire for types of music etc, & it asks if meals will be provided for the band. I was going to anyway, but if I wasn't I would feel bad checking no & probably change my mind.

My band put in the contract that they do not take a food break. They do take a break and leave 3 (of the 10) pieces up during dinner time.

None of my vendors want to take a break and eat - I never even thought to create a table for them.

We did not do placecards for them but they did sit at their own table in the reception room. They were very appreciative that we did not ban them to some back room.

Ditto, my hall asked if I wanted them to sit at my tables and I said no so they provide another area for them to eat at.
